The Foundation is delighted to have been featured at the NWU Community Engagement Showcase, held in September 2025 at the NWU Botanical Gardens. Guided by Dr. Louise Bezuidenhout, a senior lecturer in the School of Communication, the Crisis Group, final-year Communication students from the North-West University Potchefstroom Campus, developed an innovative communication strategy to address youth unemployment in the Ikageng community.
Grounded in the participatory approach, the strategy aims to integrate diverse stakeholder inputs into the monitoring, evaluation, and implementation of development initiatives, thereby fostering inclusive and sustainable social change. This ensures that the root causes of youth unemployment are tackled in a holistic and meaningful approach.
The strategy will guide the Foundation in supporting vulnerable youth by opening pathways to job opportunities within the corporate sector. Click on the document above to explore detailed information.
